Burgess drives the business forward with company partner scheme
Published 13 五月 2019
After nearly 45 years of continued success we are pleased to announce the next stage in the Burgess business strategy.
A new partnership scheme that will increase participation in the direction and management of the business has been formulated to champion those employees that have shown sustained loyalty and commitment.
As we continue to improve our professional services approach to superyachting, we believe this structure will enable us to look after our people, drive greater accountability and attain a best in class standard of corporate governance. Burgess prides itself on its commitment to teamwork, intercompany communication and long-term staff retention where employees with the highest professional standards are valued and recognised as integral to the success of the business.
The partnership scheme will span across three tiers within the Burgess business, and the initial group of partners has been selected by the owners for their commitment and contribution to the company, and for the potential they have to offer. This group will expand over time to ensure that the next generation of industry leaders also have a platform from which to grow and influence this wonderful company and industry that we are privileged to work in.
We strongly believe that the creation of an inclusive partnership scheme is a significant and extremely positive step and one which ensures that Burgess has the very best foundations and business structure for tackling the exciting challenges of the next 10 years and beyond. This new structure was launched internally in May 2019 at The Superyacht Show, Barcelona and we all now look forward to shaping the future success of the business together.
‘Burgess belongs to future generations and by encouraging increased participation in the direction and management of the business, we really begin to future-proof this company. I am delighted that we are now at a stage where we can share genuine long-term business success with our employees,’ Jonathan Beckett CEO.
