*Updated 16 October 2023: ahead of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, where ICE BEAR will be available for inspection, the owner has instructed an immediate USD 495,000 price reduction, now asking USD 11,500,000. This assiduously maintained Feadship is seriously for sale the owner will consider all genuine offers.
The 52m (170.6ft) motor yacht ICE BEAR has a steel hull and aluminium superstructure built to ABS classification and delivered by legendary Dutch shipyard Feadship, De Vries in 1988. This 614GT yacht has exteriors by De Voogt, Paola D. Smith interiors and received a stern extension in 1995 to create a sport fishing platform.
She has only ever been privately used and professionally maintained throughout her current ownership, since 1998, by a full-time crew. ICE BEAR has also completed her ABS inspection.
Her crow's nest has a helm station for elevated views of your surroundings. Below that is an observation lounge with full-height wraparound glass with leather armchairs and a raised sofa, with a marble-topped bar and dayhead aft and access at the rear to the boat deck and deck crane.
Walkaround sidedecks on the upper deck lead forward to a coachroof that raises hydraulically to reveal a technical space where her second tender is stowed.
Steps lead down to a sky lounge aft on the bridge deck, glazed on three sides and featuring satin-finished woods with feature columns. There is forward-facing U-shaped sofa seating around an ornate coffee table facing a large TV on the forward bulkhead.
The main lobby has marble flooring but elsewhere she is carpeted throughout. Aft of the lobby is a large formal dining room for 10 guests around an oval table beneath a ceiling rose of the same shape and size.
At the rear, doors open onto the main deck aft which features aft-facing seating on the mezzanine and glass bulwarks so guests can observe the action on the fishing cockpit a few steps down where there are two fishing chairs.
A rod storage rack rises from the mezzanine seating's structure and two doors in the transom open to allow access to the swim platform.
She welcomes 10 guests in five cabins and also sleeps 11 crew. The full-beam owner’s suite, forward on the main deck, has a bed to port, an office to starboard and his-and-hers bathrooms forward, each with a bath and sharing a shower room. Large picture windows give plenty of natural light.
From the main deck dining room steps led down to the lower deck lobby off which there are two double cabins to port and two twin cabins to starboard, all en suite with shower baths.
Twin 1,175hp Caterpillar diesel engines give her a top speed of 15 knots, a cruising speed of 13 knots and transatlantic range of 4,850nm.
We are delighted to present this unique yacht for sale with a recently reduced asking price of USD 11,500,000*.
