Born and raised in South Florida, Mark’s passion for the ocean began at an early age. He began boating at the age of 11 and spent his childhood wakeboarding on his family’s ski boat every day after school. Growing up he enjoyed taking trips to the Bahamas to go diving and fishing.

He attended University of Miami and graduated in 2014 with a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Entrepreneurship. While in college, Mark started a non-profit clothing company with his roommates that benefitted children in Central America.  

Before joining Burgess, Mark crewed most recently as Second Officer on superyachts. He has worked on EXCELLENCE V, EXCELLENCE, PLVS VLTRA and CLOUD 9. During his seven years working on yachts, he has travelled around the Caribbean, Mediterranean, South Pacific, Indian Ocean, and Southeast Asia.
