Lucy Medd (FCIPD) has an MSc in Human Resource Management.  She joined the Burgess yacht management team in 2006 to work with yacht managers and captains; assisting with the crew recruitment, administration, employment law and HR problem solving. In 2009 Lucy initiated the opening of Burgess Crew Services (Guernsey) PCC Ltd; a company set up to employ and pay the crew who work on Burgess managed yachts.  She continues to oversee the management and development of this business.  The company currently employs approximately 2,000 crew. In 2019 Lucy became a Burgess Partner.

Lucy previously worked for international shipping company Cosco (UK) Ltd as Deputy General Manager of General Services where she was responsible for HR, IT, Legal and Administration. Lucy has over 30 years’ experience in HR and training.
