Alexa Joined Burgess in February 2023 as a Yacht Management Assistant. Her love of boats and life at sea was established early, growing up in a family of seafarers. After graduating from Cardiff University with a BSc in European Union Studies in 2003 she worked as an Executive Search Consultant, focusing on the Financial Markets before her passion for travel and languages saw her switch to a career in yachting. Alexa spent six years working on board various yachts as Purser and cruising the Mediterranean, Caribbean and Asia extensively. In 2012 Alexa moved to the South of France where she spent the next ten years in a Shoreside Purser role, providing management support to vessels ranging from 70 – 110m.

She speaks French, Italian and Spanish.
