George joined Burgess in 2016 after two years at a Brokerage Technical firm in London, providing technical services to leading ship owners such as CMA CGM and Teekay. During this time and as part of the INCASS, an EU Commissioned project, he was appointed as the company’s representative for the coordination of enhanced inspections on two vessels using robotic platforms and the provision and assessment of information related to Ships’ structures and their Planned maintenance systems.

George achieved his MSc Hons degree in Mechanical Engineering from Loughborough University and prior to that, he spent two and a half years working as Technical Assistant for Dryships, a Shipping Operator based in Athens. His hobbies include Muay Thai and music, and in his spare time he likes to travel and go surfing.
