Max is a Master Mariner holding a Master’s Licence issued by the Italian Port Authority of Venice. Before joining Burgess in November 2004, Max was a safety and operations superintendent for Maritime Performances SAM in Monaco, where he was responsible for the management of eight tankers and chemical vessels, one oil tanker and two bitumen tankers. Prior to this, Max worked for a chemical shipping company (Maritima Emiliana) where he implemented the Safety Management System on board their vessels. Max speaks English, Italian, French and Spanish.
