Off Isabela Island's west coast, Fernandina Island, the youngest of the Galapagos islands, is considered one of the best sites for both marine and terrestrial species. Stop at Punta Espinosato see hundreds of marine iguanas, sea lions, pelicans, Galapagos hawks and finches - several species rarely found anywhere else.

The Interpretation Center
On San Cristóbal Island you can learn about the Galapagos' rich natural history in the Galapagos, the islands' volcanic origin, ocean currents, climate, how different species arrived and evolved. Afterwards hike up Tijeretas Hill through beautiful landscapes and a frigatebird nesting colony to the statue of Charles Darwin overlooking Puerto Baquerizo Moreno.

Tintorenas (Wall of Tears)
The Wall of Tears is one of the most important historic sites in the Galapagos, constructed by prisoners between 1945 and 1979 in the penal colony on Isabela Island.

Lobos Island
Lobos Island, off the north west coast of San Cristóbal, gets its name from the large colonies of sea lions (‘Lobos Marinos’ in Spanish) that practically fill the entire area. It’s also home to various Galapagos birds such as blue-footed boobies, nazca boobies, and frigate birds.

Elizabeth Bay
At the front of the ankle on Isabela Island's 'leg' and formed by the union of two volcanoes, Elizabeth Bay is home of many wild species such as penguins due to the cool water, the biggest specimens of marine iguanas, thanks to the abundant supply of algae and sea turtles for resting and feeding. Perfect for kayaking.

Puerto Ayora
Santa Cruz Island, a large dormant volcano, is the second largest island of the archipelago. Puerto Ayora is the most populated urban centre of the island with a quaint and charming atmosphere.

Playa Dorada
Bartolomé is the most visited and most-photographed island in Galapagos. The Galapagos penguins, the second smallest penguin species in the world, have established a small breeding colony in a cave behind Pinnacle Rock at the western end of Playa Dorada. Birdwatchers should be on the lookout for Galapagos penguins, herons and Galapagos hawks.

Buccaneer Cove
On Santiago Island's north west coast, Buccaneer Cove is famous for being a prefrerred anchorage for sailors, pirates and buccaneers to careen their ships, search for fresh water inland and catch giant tortoises for food.

Cormorant Point
Cormorant Point on the northern tip of Floreana Island, offers two contrasting beaches: the first is a green sand beach, made green by the presence of olivine crystal, and the second is Flour Beach, made of fine, pulverized coral. The main highlight at this site is the flamingo lagoon and others species such as shorebirds, finch, stilts or large-billed flycatchers.

Tagus Cove
Tagus Cove is scenic area where you can see several volcanoes with graffiti written on the surrounding cliff of the cove, by pirates, whalers and buccaneers in past centuries.

I’ve never chartered before, where do I start?
To get started, one of our brokers will ask you questions, like how many people you want to bring aboard, whether you know where you want to go and what you want to do. From sailing to motor, catamaran to explorer – we’ll shortlist yachts of a style, size and capability that match your preferences and suggest bucket-list cruising grounds.  
How many guests can be on board?
The majority of yachts can cruise with 8-12 guests, depending on their length. For bigger parties, some yachts built to the Passenger Yacht Code (PYC) can carry up to 36 guests – these yachts are usually above 80m (260ft) long. For events, yachts can have more people on board provided they stay in port.
Why do I need a charter broker? Why can’t I book direct?

Planning the perfect charter requires specialist knowledge, trusted contacts on board and on the ground, as well as first-hand knowledge of yachts, crews and locations, as well as legal contracts and local regulations to build an experience that suits you perfectly. Another reason to choose a broker is that sometimes there can be unforeseen issues with yachts or destinations and having an experienced broker to protect your interests and build a plan B is hugely reassuring.

I have a few allergies, how can I let the yacht know about these and also about my preferences?
A few weeks before your charter starts, we’ll send you a detailed questionnaire that lets us know the preferences and special requirements of everyone in your party. It will cover dietary and medical requirements, allergies and any special requests, birthdays or entertainment, for instance. This helps us and the crew of your yacht make sure your charter will be everything you hope it will be.
