Burgess - the Royal Huisman specialist.

'Royal Huisman builds extraordinary yachts, they always have,' says Senior Partner and Senior Sales Broker Henry Craven-Smith. 'I've bought and sold many Royal Huisman yachts and I never fail to be impressed anew by the levels of craftsmanship, innovation, technology and the attention to detail, which really does border on obsession.
'It's the breadth of their output as well, from modern classics to J Class to state of the art performance cruisers. Royal Huisman's quality is revered the world over and as a result few yachts hold their value as well as these.'
At Burgess our appreciation of Royal Huisman's work shines in the number of its yachts we have on our books and the number we've sold. We've become almost a default Royal Huisman broker and we are extremely proud to have been involved in the sales of a huge number of their builds.

For sale: SEA EAGLE I
This 43.3m (142.1ft) yacht, delivered in 2015, is for sale because her owner has a spectacular new yacht, also by Huisman and that is a recurring theme with owners of these yachts. The owner's brief specified a yacht that could eat through the ocean miles with comfort, pace and ease in the hands of a shorthanded crew. With that brief, the combination of Huisman, hull design by Germán Frers and interiors by Rhoades Young could not be bettered. SEA EAGLE I returned for her Lloyd's five-year survey and rig service at Huisfit and she is ready to delight her next owner. Sleeping eight guests in four cabins, she is asking EUR 18,000,000.

J Class yachts like the 42.1m (138.1ft) HANUMAN are highly prized and a huge success story. Indeed there are more Js sailing now than there ever were in their America's Cup heyday in the 1930s. Aside from the heartbreaking beauty of these yachts, the fleet racing is both spectacular and highly competitive typically with an afterguard packed with the America's Cup elite. This yacht, the owner's third Huisman, has a packed trophy cabinet including the first J Class World Championship in 2017. Delivered in 2009, fully refurbished in 2018 and ready to race or cruise in style with six guests in three cabins.

METEOR is a 51.6m (169.3ft) modern classic schooner inspired by the Gloucester schooners. These yachts were designed for excellent seakeeping and performance to enable them to fish the turbulent waters of the Grand Banks in the 19th century and then race home to get the best price for their catch. Reinterpreted by Gerard Dijkstra & Partners working with John G Alden with interiors by John Munford, she sleeps six guests in three cabins. Burgess' Henry Craven-Smith closed the sale of METEOR on New Year's Eve 2018. She had an asking price of EUR 15,000,000.
'We are delighted with and tremendously proud of our record when it comes to Royal Huisman yachts,' concludes Henry, 'not least because we share many of the same values: prestigious heritage, uncompromising quality, scrupulous attention to detail and excellent client relationships. We're very much looking forward to building on our record in the years to come.'
