There are a few surprises in the Michelin Guide for 2019 and many of them are on the glitzy
French Riviera


From black-tie dinners on board to Michelin-starred restaurants ashore, you can expect gastronomic excellence from the moment you embark on a superyacht charter along the French Riviera. Burgess charter experts reveal their favourite Michelin-starred restaurants from the brand-new Michelin Guide France 2019. This year 75 new establishments gain either one, two or three stars, a record level never seen before.

Menton

Mirazur

Located in Menton, just five miles along the coast from Monaco, Argentine chef Mauro Colagreco has been awarded three Michelin stars in the 2019 selection. His menu takes inspiration from his Argentine-Italian heritage as well as the local French and Italian regions.

Monaco

Louis XV (Hôtel de Paris)

Chefs Alain Ducasse and Dominique Lory have created a modern menu at the three Michelin-starred Louis XV. The restaurant reopened last year following major renovations to its a majestic interior, while the culinary style remains focused around fresh sauces and aromas that invigorate the sense. The service is also on a par with that you can expect to find on a superyacht, ensuring your experience is one to remember.

Le Vistamar

Known for its sharing and tasting menus, Le Vistamar at the Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo offers idyllic views over the Mediterranean Sea from the stunning terrace. Chef Benoît Witz’s cuisine pays tribute to the finest seasonal produce to create Michelin-star dishes that are bursting with flavour.

Joël Robuchon Monte-Carlo

The late Joël Robuchon was one of France’s best-known chefs with more stars awarded by Michelin Guides than any other chef in the world. With two stars, his eponymous restaurant at the Hotel Métropole continues to bring his inventive Mediterranean cuisine to the table.

Saint-Tropez

La Vague d’Or

One of two restaurants at the Cheval Blanc St Tropez (previously known as La Rèsidence de la Pinède), La Vague d’Or is another of the rare restaurants with three Michelin stars. Chef Arnaud Donckele dishes up an eight-course tasting menu making full use of Mediterranean flavours.

L’Olivier

The elegant Relais & Chateaux property La Bastide de St Tropez is home to the Michelin-starred restaurant L'Olivier. Elegantly crafted dishes are made from locally sourced produce.

La Colombe

Pascal Bonamy’s flavorsome Mediterranean cuisine has earned the fantastic La Colombe restaurant on Île du Levant a Michelin star.

Cannes

La Palme d’Or

Resident chef Christian Sinicropi blends a combination of Mediterranean styles with contemporary fusion inspiration at the two Michelin-starred La Palme d’Or.

Juan-les-Pins

Les Pêcheurs

A long standing favourite for the yachting crowd, the one Michelin-starred restaurant Les Pêcheurs delivers chef Nicolas Rondelli’s cuisine that balances Mediterranean gastronomic tradition with exotic accents to intrigue the palette.

Antibes

Restaurant de Bacon

Step ashore to the family-run, Michelin-starred Restaurant de Bacon for some of the best bouillabaisse on the Riviera.

Le César

For a lazy lunch, toes-in-the-sand style, take the tender ashore to Plage Keller and the Michelin-starred restaurant Le César.

Nice

Le Chantecler

The gastronomic restaurant at Hôtel Negresco is another on the 2019 Michelin Guide honours list. Awarded two stars, Le Chantecler credits head chef Virginie Basselot for her great conviction in creating a menu that prolongs the restaurant’s culinary history with subtle updates.

Cap Ferrat

Le Cap

For Michelin-starred cuisine on the Cap step ashore to the stately old-world palace of the Grand Hôtel du Cap Ferrat and the fine-dining restaurant Le Cap (open for dinner only). Expect fantastic Mediterranean cuisine conjured up by head chef Yoric Tièche.

Cap Estel

For stunning views that pan from Cap Ferrat to Monaco, it is worth stepping ashore to the Michelin-starred restaurant at Cap Estel. Expect faultless French cuisine with a modern twist.

La Chèvre d’Or

For a dramatic vista climb the cobblestone path to the dining room of La Chèvre d’Or. A gastronomic mecca, the two Michelin-starred restaurant has a reputation for both its spectacular setting and celebrated cuisine.
