NERO - for charter with Burgess
90.1m (295.6ft), 2007 (refit 2021), Corsair Yachts, China

This yacht is a modern take on a trad-style yacht. Don’t be fooled, NERO was built in 2007 and sails beautifully – with double the stabilisers of most yachts her size, for a really smooth ride.

She is designed to have all the romance of a classic yacht, with portholes and the nooks for sitting to watch the world go by, or tee off from the top deck golf green. All the details have been considered – the waterslide is made to measure from the top deck to the sea, she has a new spa area (which smells amazing by the way!) and a beauty therapist on board.

Families love NERO, but to be honest, she suits anyone who want to experience sailing a classic yacht without any compromise - with the gentleman’s launch-style tender adding to the glamour. The sea is your playground, there’s a resistance pool on the foredeck and a jacuzzi as well.

She has a big skylight over her sky lounge bar, which gives it a good atmosphere. One nice detail was the signature mocktails and cocktails the crew served when we went aboard. Personal touches like these, with NERO being so stunning anyway, make her an exceptional charter experience.

CLOUD 9 - for charter with Burgess
88.5m (290.3ft), 2015, Oceanco, The Netherlands

CLOUD 9 had a very busy first summer season, which came as no surprise. She’s still quite new to us though so charterers looking for something a bit different will be excited - and we’re excited to have her in the Burgess fleet. She is a really good size for a big family group, there's room for everyone to spread out, relax and enjoy themselves.

One thing you notice is how light her inside spaces are. The open plan rooms and big windows really let the natural light come through. She has everything to keep all age groups entertained, from 90 years to nine months old!

There are lots of separate living spaces and features for every taste – lounges, bars, eating areas, gym, beauty room, huge water toy list, and a really good-sized limo tender – which is what you want for getting ashore without getting windswept.

She has a 2023 refit scheduled, which tells me that she has a careful owner who takes care of her. Plus, she is Dutch-built, which you can see in the quality of everything on board. People are going to love chartering this yacht – it’s a privilege to represent her.

PROJECT X - for sale and charter with Burgess
88m (288.6ft), 2022, Golden Yachts, Greece

The first thing you notice when you step on board PROJECT X is just her sheer volume. She is 2,999GT and her size is impressive. Also, she is brand new from Golden Yachts, so everything is in mint condition.

One of my favourite features is the waterfall on the aft deck, it flows from the upper deck to the main deck pool. I also really like the rotating seating area in the beach club – you can swivel it to face whichever direction you choose. These design details make this yacht stand out.

The art installations are very cool, one of them is a long swirl of paper that moves with the motion of the sea and the wind. Another is the main lounge bar lined with back-lit wine bottles. There is also a glass atrium that descends through the decks, taking the natural light with it – it’s part of the glass lift shaft.

The interior designers have thought about how people use this space - like there’s a formal dining room that has been enclosed to feel intimate, and then next door is a little table for four-people – for when it’s just you and the family.

The owner’s deck is special. The rear-facing bedroom is really spacious, with glass doors opening onto a private deck. Then, forward of the bedroom there’s a roomy office with a large desk, and a desk for your PA as well.

One thing to know about this yacht is that she may be brand new, but the owner has brought the crew from their last yacht, so the captain has 25-plus years’ experience and that’s true of much of the crew. So, charterers get the best of both worlds – a new yacht with tried-and-tested crew.

SCOTT FREE – for charter with Burgess
60m (196.9ft), 2009 (refit 2022), Abeking & Rasmussen, Germany

SCOTT FREE showed off her new look at Monaco, and personally, I really like it. Her light blue hull, white superstructure and black mast is smart - and, of course, her distinctive logo, gifted by Virgil Abloh after he chartered her with his family last summer. It’s part of Abloh’s legacy now, and SCOTT FREE is proud of that.

The yacht was in the yard for her refit last winter, so she is looking great, with upgrades throughout. Her deck furnishings are light blue, grey and white – and you will see that the attention detail continues inside with interesting textures and materials used in the rooms.

The main lounge bar is cool - it’s quite a cosy space with just three stools and the bottles in these big back-lit portholes on either side. When charterers want a bigger party space the sun deck is great fun – and there’s a slide from that top deck to the sea. The beach club is another great feature – it’s very generous for a yacht of this size, and made even bigger by a protected pool that extends from the swim platform.

She’s a yacht with ocean-crossing credentials – she’s completed a circumnavigation – and the solidity of a German-build. Charterers are getting great value when they book this yacht.

PAPA - for sale and charter with Burgess
55m (180.4ft), 2019, Amels, The Netherlands

Charter this yacht, and you know that you’re going to have a great trip. PAPA is one of the Amels 180 series, and an excellent charter yacht. She was built in 2019 and then refreshed again in 2022 - so she’s in excellent condition.

There’s a Teppanyaki grill on the sun deck, and big bar area, so you can imagine there would be a great atmosphere up here with the grill on and the drinks going around… You can set up the outside cinema here as well, with a big screen across from the comfy sofas – it’s very nice for families.

The master cabin has a drop-down balcony, which is great feature. Charterers like to have their morning coffee there, or cocktails before dinner. There’s another balcony off the main lounge as well.

The PAPA crew are fine-tuned to chartering, everything runs like clockwork. Plus, the chef has been with the yacht since launch, which is a good recommendation in itself – the food is going to be delicious!

EMOTION2 - for sale and charter with Burgess
42.6m (139.7ft), 2007, CRN Ancona, Italy

EMOTION2 is always booked up. She charters in the Eastern Med, around Greece and Turkey, and she’s very popular. I think her size makes her ideal for a family group - there are lots of inside and outside sofas and eating areas, lots of toys and a beach club.

One feature I know is a winner, is the golf tee on the sun deck. The side rails drop down and you can tee off - there’s a floating ball pit for you to aim at, but the balls are biodegradable so not a problem if you miss it. The sun deck is a good size for a 43m yacht, with a big bar and cinema screen.

A driving competition is almost guaranteed - and everyone's a winner!

The owner has invested in a 9.9m Boston Whaler for this yacht, which gets towed along behind. It’s a great sized tender to get guests ashore, or to take them for a blast around the islands.

I found the crew really welcoming and I know that they really open themselves up to guests, sharing their local knowledge and just going the extra mile. A crew like that makes all the difference on a charter. The captain is a great guy, he’s been on board for years too!
