Gloria grew up sailing with her family in the UK and the Mediterranean and was very keen to incorporate yachting into her career. She studied Geography at the University of Leeds and completed a year of study abroad in France. Since University, Gloria has completed three summer yachting seasons in the Mediterranean, furthering her nautical skills. Firstly, in Greece, she worked as the First Mate on a 15.9m (52ft) charter sailing yacht based in Mykonos. The following year she moved on to flotilla holidays on the Dalmatian coast, Croatia. Initially, she held the role of Flotilla Host. After this season she decided to take on the challenge of completing her RYA Yachtmaster qualification in the UK. This enabled her to return to Croatia the following year as the Flotilla Skipper.

Outside of work, Gloria attends ballet classes and enjoys meeting up with friends now she’s back in the UK!
