Accounts Assistant

Responsibilities

  • Update yacht Accounts Payable ledgers with data entry of invoices
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly accounts
  • Posting of accruals and prepayments
  • Prepare monthly accruals and prepayments
  • Process payments
  • Daily bank reconciliations
  • Regular interaction with high net worth individuals
  • Liaising directly with Captains and Owners representatives
  • Assisting yacht based crew with accounting requirements
  • Ad hoc reporting

Skills

  • At least 2-3 years’ experience within a finance function
  • CPA / CMA part qualified or USA equivalent is essential
  • Experience of taking accounts up to trial balance, posting prepayments and accruals
  • Previous use of Sage X3 highly desirable
  • Ability to prioritise, work independently and under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to communicate across all levels of the business
