Built by the renowned Pendennis shipyard in Falmouth, UK, FOX is a 34.9m (114.3ft) explorer yacht that embodies the seamless fusion of innovative technology and timeless elegance. From vision to blueprint
Every great yacht begins with a bold vision, and FOX was no exception. From the outset, the brief was clear: create a yacht that blends luxurious comfort with robust performance capabilities, designed for an owner seeking both adventure and relaxation. Collaborating with renowned designers and naval architects, Pendennis translated this vision into precise blueprints, laying the foundation for what would become a truly exceptional vessel.
The design phase focused on optimising space, ensuring a seamless indoor/outdoor flow, and incorporating state-of-the-art technology. Every detail was meticulously planned, from the sleek exterior lines to the custom interiors, tailored to enhance the on board experience. These initial stages set the tone for what would become a groundbreaking build.
‘The biggest USP is that she’s a 35m yacht that can carry two 7.5m tenders, which is almost unheard of. She could carry a Triton submersible and an ROV, or quad bikes, or even a scientific lab. That’s what such a huge aft deck enables. It’s also quite special because she has a DJ station that plugs into the yacht’s sound system on the upper deck aft, where the open-air dining is, so the whole area becomes a dance floor overlooked by the DJ.’

Instead of being teak, it’s Tesumo, which is made by a German company using a technique that resulted from a University of Göttingen project with Lurssen. It uses fast-growing sustainable wood, specially treated, that matches all the properties and lasting power of teak, except that it’s both readily available and sustainable. And most impressively, FOX is the largest yacht to date to have a full Tesumo deck.

As the project neared completion, the focus shifted to the finishing touches that would define FOX’s character. Expert artisans brought the interiors to life, blending fine materials with thoughtful design elements to create an atmosphere of understated luxury. Every detail, from bespoke furnishings to subtle lighting, was carefully curated to reflect the owner’s vision.
Once the final details were in place, FOX underwent rigorous sea trials, showcasing her performance and handling capabilities.
