SURAMA, a magnificent 40.7m (133.5ft) ketch sailing yacht, comes to market in turnkey condition suitable for both cruising and racing. Built in the award-winning Royal Huisman Shipyard in the Netherlands, she was originally conceived as a world cruiser capable of self-sufficient voyages to the most remote and incredible corners of the globe. But, far from being confined to one box, SURAMA also carries a lightweight Llyod's-classified aluminium hull which sees her perform well in regattas. 

No expense has been spared on her maintenance and a regular refit programme has ensured that a full service, rebuild or replacement of almost every system and mechanical item has been undertaken recently. She underwent a full refit at Royal Huisman in 2017 and benefitted from extensive winter maintenance in 2018 and 2019.

Exterior

The deck layout has been designed considering both guest use and ease of sail handling. There's a versatile aft cockpit which can be used for dining or to offer a sheltered sunpad, while further outdoor seating can be found between the dual helm stations and the flybridge. For easy access to the water, a central section of the aft deck folds down to create a swim platform. 

Interior

SURAMA's cool, modern interior comes courtesy of renowned Winch Design. The deckhouse lounge's wraparound windows and skylights pour light into the informal dining area where guests can enjoy the views from the comfort of their sofas. Steps lead down to the main saloon which has a large, semi-circular seating area and TV to port and an informal dining area to starboard.

Accommodation

SURAMA's spacious three-cabin layout provides accommodation for up to eight guests. The aft split-level owner's suite boasts a private study and a curved sofa as well as private cockpit access. The remaining guests will find their home in one of two amidships twin cabins, each with a pullman berth and en suite bathroom. 

Power

SURAMA's two Mercedes 570hp engines allow her to cruise at 11 knots with a maximum range of 4,305nm. Lovingly maintained, her double centreboard allows to shallow draft destinations and good regatta performance.
