The pursuit of perfection.

The latest yacht to join our charter fleet shows what happens when the world's best designers, engineers, artists and craftsmen are at the absolute peak of their talents. Charter Manager Caroline Boisson explains.
'Of course we are honoured to represent this yacht,' says Charter Manager Caroline Boisson. 'She is literally breathtaking, as anyone who has been on board will tell you. She has been built with real intelligence, an intrinsic understanding of what yachting should be. It's difficult to describe the feeling of being on a yacht that is perfect, but when you walk around with a very experienced eye you can tell everything was thought through with fanatical attention to detail. There is not a square millimetre of this yacht that hasn't been deeply considered but the overall effect is that you don't notice that at all. It just feels right.
'On any other yacht, even the finest ones with similar pedigrees, there will be a design detail that might stand out, not quite fit for some indefinable reason, the slightest glimpse of an air conditioning vent or a splash of colour that seems out of place - just minute details but you still notice them. You don't get that on SOPHIA. She is the only yacht I've ever inspected where I would not change a single thing. Somehow you can feel the perfection, it's so restful, really quite zen. This is apex superyachting and it's inspiring.'
On paper she is equally impressive: a 96.6m (316.8ft) Feadship delivered in 2017 to an experienced yacht owner with a crystal clear vision of the ultimate on board family experience. Available for EUR 1,500,000 per week plus expenses, she has every possible amenity across her five guest decks, all connected by an elevator.
Beach club
'When it comes to features, no other yacht comes close, it's difficult to know where to start. Relaxation is one of her strongest suits,' explains Caroline. 'She has the best beach club I've ever seen, it's absolutely her signature feature. It's like having your own Club 55 - I found myself subconsciously wondering where the sand was! It's a huge space, open on three sides with the swim platform aft and folding sea terraces either side, and there's a dazzling bar dappled with natural light from the glass bottomed pool above. It's mesmerising. There's a sun deck jacuzzi too, built in blue carbon fibre, and sun lounging on every deck, but this beach club is somewhere you never want to leave.

'She majors on entertainment too with an incredibly elegant cinema on the main deck, large TVs in the beach club and on the sun deck, a baby grand piano and another fully equipped bar in the sky lounge. She also has two very rare 10m (32.8ft) custom tenders by Feadship for exploring and a ski boat for all the tows. The toy locker is crammed with all the latest foiling and hover toys, plus waverunners, SeaBobs, an inflatable slide and sea pool.
Fitness
'For those who like to keep fit she has a fully equipped and climate controlled gym with amazing views on the sun deck, a games deck on the helipad for court sports and using outdoor gym equipment, and there's the captivating 9m pool with waterfall on the main deck aft.
Wellness
'If wellness is the priority, SOPHIA offers the full spa experience in a dedicated wellness centre. There is a highly trained therapist and masseuse on board using 100 percent natural Dr. Hauschka products in a wide menu of treatments. She has a massage and treatment room, a large hammam and after your steam you can walk into the snow room - yes, SOPHIA has a snow room. There is another massage room and steam room in the beach club to unwind after a day of adrenaline and a hair and make-up salon for special evenings.
Dining
'Exceptional dining is part of the experience too as SOPHIA has no fewer than three extremely gifted chefs. Sixteen guests can fine dine inside on the main deck, taking advantage of the fully equipped bar, custom wine cellar and the mood created by the real fireplace, or outside on the bridge deck aft. You can dine casually on the sun deck with its wood fired pizza oven and charcoal BBQ or you can take the BBQ ashore and feel the sand beneath your toes on a deserted beach.

Owner's deck
'Finally there is the absolute privacy offered by a completely independent owner's deck, like a yacht within a yacht, where you can relax, refocus and recharge away from your guests. Start the day here with breakfast as you check your correspondence in private and look forward to the day ahead. In the evenings you can retreat here for an intimate dinner for two, or slip away from your guests after dinner to enjoy your digestif and cigar in peace and quiet on the private terrace aft where arcs of seating surround a real firepit, or unwind in front of a movie on the huge TV in the owner's lounge. The bedroom, with his and hers bathrooms en suite, has 180 degree views and there are blackout blinds if you want to watch movies in bed on the dropdown TV, the stars through the skylight or just enjoy the flickering of the real fireplace.
'Guests who really appreciate what it takes to achieve absolute perfection will enjoy a charter the like of which they will never experience again - until they come back, that is. That's what SOPHIA does, she changes expectations.'
If you demand the very finest things in life, if you never compromise on quality, you've got to have SOPHIA. For the best experience, contact a Burgess broker about your next yacht charter.
