Monaco Yacht Show 2024 wrap-up

Published 30 September 2024

The highlight of the superyacht calendar, every year the Monaco Yacht Show attracts the latest and greatest builds from around the world.

Celebrating some of the industry’s most prized yachts, it brings together prospective buyers, charterers, and brokers. We take a look back at the 33rd edition.

Adventure

The Adventure Area returned this year, joining the Yacht Design & Innovation Hub and the Sustainability Hub. Appealing to adventure enthusiasts and thrill-seekers alike, this exhibition showcased innovative equipment and toys designed to push the boundaries of traditional yacht charters.

From watertoys and state-of-the-art tenders to cars, motorcycles and even helicopters, this was the place to find the latest and greatest additions to level-up your yacht.

Sustainability

The world’s oceans have given us this amazing industry, and it’s our responsibility to protect them. While the solutions may not yet be perfect, it’s been inspiring to see an increasing number of yachts embracing green technology and adopting a collective commitment to responsible yachting practises.

The Sustainability Hub spotlighted the latest green practises and technologies, providing a look into the environmentally friendly yacht of the future. From hybrid and all-electric drive systems to yachts built using eco-friendly materials (think advanced composites instead of heavy steel or aluminium), the hub showed that the yachting industry is moving in the right direction.

At Burgess, we have partnered with Blue Marine Foundation to map, protect and save Mediterranean seagrass. This unsung hero in the climate change fight can be a key weapon in the race to save our oceans. The Saving Seagrass project will run up to 2030, contributing to the UN and wider conservation community’s mission of achieving 30 by 30 (the commitment to protect at least 30 percent of land and sea by 2030).

Burgess X Lotus

We partnered with car brand Lotus to transport our guests around the show in the Eletre, their first-ever hyper-SUV: a thrilling fusion of Lotus’ iconic heritage with cutting-edge innovation.

The Burgess fleet

Burgess had some of the biggest yachts both in the port and at anchor. Take a look at a few of our favourites below, or discover all the yachts we had on display.

GOLDEN ODYSSEY - for sale

The headliner of the Monaco Yacht Show 2024, this 123.2m (404.2ft) Lurssen is the largest yacht to have ever attended the show. Originally commissioned to meet the exacting standards of an experienced owner, GOLDEN ODYSSEY boats some serious stand-out features including an owner’s private deck including two master suites, a spa and wellness area with a steam room, Hammam, and treatment room, as well as a private terrace with dining areas, lounging spaces, and a jacuzzi.

RENAISSANCE - for charter

Newly completed in 2023, RENAISSANCE sets the benchmark of what the world’s most discerning guests can expect from a luxury charter. 112m (367.4ft) and 7,200 GT, RENAISSANCE has space in abundance, with one deck dedicated to the owner and another entirely to wellness.

AALTO - for sale

The 80m (262.5ft) AALTO, delivered in 2007, marked a new era for Oceanco. Bringing features on board that were rarely seen on similar vessels, from a heated swimming pool and massage room to a helipad, she was and is still exceptional.

As one door closes, another opens. The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show takes places between 30 October and 3 November.
