Sales Brokers Justin Pierce and Thibault Roi on: Benetti
Published 06 November 2024
Choosing your next yacht is a big decision. Are you going to buy one already on the market? Or are you going to take the plunge and build? And if you are going to build, what shipyard do you go to and what model do you choose?
Meet Benetti: Europe’s oldest superyacht builder and one of the best in the world. Building both custom and semi-custom yachts ranging from 30m to over 100m, they have over 300 yachts delivered under their belt – and counting.
But forget the custom for now. Today, we're turning our attention to the semi-custom yacht. They're the perfect opportunity to own a vessel with a proven platform from an established shipyard, and you know exactly what you’re getting: a reliable, tried-and-tested model with a reduced build time compared to a fully custom. We’ve already discussed what makes semi-custom yachts so great – read more here – but it does bear repeating. And when it comes to semi-customs, Benetti are a force to be reckoned with.
We sat down with two of our sales brokers – Justin Pierce from Burgess’ Miami office and Thibault Roi from Monaco – to pick their brains on all things Benetti.
When asked to choose a favourite, Justin opts for the B.NOW 50m Oasis. ‘This series showcases an innovative design that has significantly influenced the yachting industry’, he explains. ‘It transforms the guest experience at sea with its remarkable sea-level beach club, featuring expansive fold-down balconies and a stunning infinity pool. Inside, floor-to-ceiling glass enhances the sense of indoor/outdoor living, while spacious entertaining areas invite relaxation and socialising. B.NOW has quickly become one of Benetti’s most successful, combining cutting-edge design with unparalleled guest experience.’
Thibault, on the other hand, goes for Benetti’s Oasis 40M series. ‘I think the fact that this model is called Oasis 40M says it all. She offers an amazing open beach club which is a feature launched by Benetti a few years back. It completely reshaped the layout of yachts and the connection to the sea for those on board. TOSUN is a beautiful example that we currently have for sale. She’s been very well-maintained and, in my opinion, has one of the best layouts including a massage room/gym on the main deck. Plus, she's equally suitable for private use and as a charter machine for any commercially minded buyer.’
Both are great options for any prospective buyer, but which is right for you? Speaking on the B.NOW Oasis, Justin explains how it lends itself to life at anchor: ‘Its shallow draft allows for extensive island cruising, while the large beach club attracts all guest activities and entertaining at sea-level.’
Looking for something to play host to friends and family? Then an Oasis 40, or TOSUN, might be the yacht for you. As Thibault describes, ‘she’s a home-away-from-home with brilliant guest and social entertaining spaces spread across three decks.’
Justin and Thibault have laid out convincing arguments for why the B.NOW Oasis and Oasis 40 models should be on your radar for your next yacht. If they’ve sold you on Benetti but you don’t want to wait years to get out onto the water, we’ve got several Benetti yachts for sale, all in excellent condition. Why not take a look?
