Broker on board: join Clara Lormant on board JODI ANN
Published 02 avril 2025
Join two of Miami’s charter team – Elizabeth Coleman and Clara Lormant – as they step on board 42.6m (139.7ft) JODI ANN in The Bahamas to experience first-hand the incredible charter experience she offers.
THE YACHT
For her size, she's very sleek and sophisticated. One thing you notice when you get on board is that she doesn't quite feel like a 42-metre. The spaces are very thoughtful and comfortable, and the guest areas feel much larger than she is on paper.
There are a great variety of deck spaces for all different occasions, from the dining area on the bridge deck aft – perfect for breakfast – to the sun deck jacuzzi and the comfortable forward bow seating area – perfect for sundowners.
On the interior side, the sky lounge is very nice – the ideal spot for a movie night. There's great lounging area, and it’s also a great spot to play cards which some of the girls on the trip enjoyed in the evening.

JODI ANN also has a great selection of toys, and the slide really was a big hit with us. There were five of us in total on the trip and, despite being grown adults, we were acting like little kids shooting down the slide, running back up the stairs, and going again and again!
But there’s also something for everyone. I'm not super adventurous as I prefer to sit and relax, but they had toys for every type of guest including SeaBobs and an eFoil. One thing about an eFoil is that it’s not easy to get right away, but the deck crew were so knowledgeable and helpful, giving pointers to assist us that by the end of the trip we had the hang of it!

THE ITINERARY
Overall, the trip was truly once-in-a-lifetime! It's always great to have an owner that's willing to invest in the programme, and by getting brokers on board and showing them the entire experience it means they can accurately sell it to their clients.
The owner organised a small plane to pick us up in Miami in the morning, and we flew about two hours to The Bahamas where we had a car waiting for us. Then it was a short 25 minute tender ride to the yacht which was waiting for us at anchor at Albany. We had a really inviting welcome with the toys all set up and the crew standing on the aft deck greeting us.
The whole trip was so relaxing. In the afternoon we went out on the tender, drinking champagne, and the crew showed us some areas of interest which I hadn’t seen before. After that, we chilled by the hot tub and had a wonderful multiple course meal from the chef.
The next day, we played with the toys for a few more hours before being taken back to the airport. It was a quick 36 hours on board, but it was great!

THE CREW
JODI ANN has a crew of eight, the captain plus seven, and that's really the sweet spot. The team are really solid and very much like a family. Captain Shane is excellent; he's young, eager, and very keen. He's got a lot of charter experience as well as a lot of experience cruising all over the globe, and he’s built an amazing crew around him.
The chef, Ricardo, is out of this world. He's been on charter yachts for a few years now and he's very creative. He can take something very simple and make it extraordinary. He made an egg salad and it was so beautiful that we spent the whole time on board raving about!
The chief stewardess Loretta is so switched on. She is everywhere, anticipating everyone’s needs and being a key pillar of support to the fellow interior staff. You can tell they're all really a team. And you know what? The crew were one of the main things that made the experience on board so exceptional.

WHY CHARTER JODI ANN?
She is supported by an owner who really cares about the programme and wants to make it a great experience for all. He's hired the best crew, he's adding to the toy list for the summer season, and he’s willing to invest.
The one thing about JODI ANN, above all else, is that the boat is beautiful and she’s got an excellent range of toys. But really it's the crew that really make the charter unforgettable. The chef is so incredible, and the captain is so switched on. It's a team that will create the best charter possible, whatever the guest throw at them.

ANYTHING ELSE?
I've been overseeing JODI ANN's programme for a few years now, and she's a perfect fit for a variety of charter guests. She's ideal for families with a spacious, and comfortable design, offering a modern and stylish interior. Families especially enjoy JODI ANN for the fantastic selection of toys on board, and the crew, who are energetic and youthful.
We've also hosted a charter with nine ladies in their ‘golden years’ who found JODI ANN comfortable and an excellent way to celebrate their long-term friendship. JODI ANN truly has broad appeal, making her a great choice for almost anyone.
