Hosted in the glittering bay of Cannes, the Cannes Yachting Festival is the best one-stop location to view both new yachts and the best of the brokerage fleet on display in this size range. As the first show in the Autumn yachting calendar, the Cannes Yachting Festival signals the beginning of the Autumn sales season and gives buyers the opportunity to view a wide selection of sailing and motor yachts, including a host of world first product launches. What is the Cannes Yachting Festival?
The Cannes Yachting Festival marks the beginning of the Autumn sales season, gathering brokerage companies, shipyards and designers from all over the world post Summer to exhibit their latest offerings to prospective buyers. Europe’s biggest in-water event, over 600 smaller boats and yachts will be on display at what promises to be the best show yet, with debuts from leading shipyards and a fine selection of water toys to enhance your yacht purchase. When does the Cannes Yachting Festival take place?
The Cannes Yachting Festival takes place over six days from Tuesday 10 to Sunday 15 September. The show is open every day from 10am to 7pm Tuesday to Saturday, with a later opening until 10pm on the Friday evening. The last day Sunday sees the show close at the earlier time of 6pm.
Where is the Cannes boat show held?
The Cannes Yachting Festival is held in the French seaside town of Cannes. Split across two aquatic venues, Port Canto has a display of more than 100 sailing boats and pre-owned brokerage yachts, while less than a nautical mile away across the Bay of Cannes, visitors will find motorboats and new models in the Old Port (Vieux Port) located next to the famous Palais des Festivals. A boat shuttle runs between the two locations, and Burgess have a complimentary tender running for Burgess clients accompanied by a Burgess representative.

How to get to the Cannes yacht show?
As the epicentre of yachting on the French Riviera, Cannes is easily accessible by all means of transportation. The international airport of Nice has good connections from most major European cities and a number of transatlantic locations, including New York and Philadelphia. Nice Airport also has a large private jet terminal. The airport itself is located closed to the A8 motorway which is 17 miles from the centre of Cannes.
Alternatively, the private jet terminal of Cannes-Mandelieu is located just above Cannes near to the A8 motorway exit. There is also a helipad by the port for direct transfers to and from Nice and Cannes.

Whether you prefer motor boats or sailing yachts, the Cannes Yachting Festival is the show to visit for all things yachting related. This year sees the show introduce a new section, along with the successful display areas in two locations.
New Marina
This year, the Cannes show sees a new addition to the show amidst the port’s redevelopment project that is in full swing. The new marina will provide more than 300 metres of quayside, accommodating boats both in the water and along the quay, ranging between from 8-metres (26ft) and 12-metres (40ft) in length.
Le Vieux Port
Dating back to 1838, the Old Port (Vieux Port) enjoys a premier position in the heart of Cannes. Lying at the foot of the Suquet (the old town), to which it is intimately linked, the cobblestone streets of the old quarter lead all the way down to the Old Port and are lined with restaurants and bars. Counterintuitively, visitors will find the newest models from leading shipyards on display here in the 'old' port.
Palais des Festivals
Overlooking the Old Port, the iconic Palais des Festivals is best known as the primary venue for the annual Cannes Film Festival’s red carpet. During the Cannes Yachting Festival the convention centre hosts leading yachting and lifestyle brands in its large, air-conditioned exhibition space. Port Canto
Port Canto, known more officially as Port Pierre Canto, is one of the most prestigious marinas along the French Riviera. Located on the eastern end of the famed Croisette, it lies just across the Bay of Cannes from the Old Port and faces the Lérins Islands this newer marina is a popular year-round destination for superyachts. During the Cannes Yachting Festival, Port Canto hosts a large in-water display of sailing boats and pre-owned yachts.
