FLEXPLORER 165 keel laying

We are excited to announce the keel laying of the 49.9m (163.7ft) FLEXPLORER 165, currently in build at Italian shipyard Cantieri delle Marche, and signifying the start of her construction process.
One of four semi-custom new build yachts sold by Burgess last year, Christian Bakewell expertly guided the owner through the new build process, resulting in the contract signature for this new project in July 2024.

Due for delivery in November 2027, Burgess Technical Services are overseeing the build on behalf of the owner, a US client with an eye toward exploration of remote destinations and multi-generational functional spaces.

The interior design is the work of UK studio Design Unlimited, a young and dynamic team brimming with fresh ideas. Expertly led by industry veteran Mark Tucker, who brings over 30 years of yacht design experience, this is their first project with Burgess – hopefully the first of many.
