Wanda Group and Burgess partnering in China to develop superyacht services

Burgess is delighted to announce a new partnership in China with Wanda Yacht Management and Club Reign, both part of Wanda Hotels & Resorts. With that partnership, Shanghai-based Wanda Yacht Management GM Leo Yang also becomes Burgess’ Chief Representative in China. He will collaborate closely with our strong core team of Asian and Chinese colleagues based in Hong Kong, Singapore and Monaco. 

Leo Yang has built extensive yachting experience since serving as Marketing Officer for China’s first America Cup challenge back in 2006. This was followed by various roles in Princess Yachts and several Chinese yachting brands before settling 10 years ago with Wanda as manager of the Group’s fleet of yachts. Leo also has extensive experience abroad having attended university in France, he speaks English and French fluently and holds RYA Yachtmaster and ASA instructor qualifications. 

A unique feature of this new partnership is Wanda’s 33m (108ft) Sunseeker RUI HUA 2, which is now available for charter in Shanghai. RUI HUA 2 is the first high-quality, perfectly maintained private superyacht available to cruise the Hangpu River and to enjoy the spectacular skyline of the Bund and Pudong while sharing a Michelin private dinner with family, friends or business associates. Burgess will also use RUI HUA 2 as a marketing platform to showcase the yachting lifestyle and its services in the heart of Shanghai. 

In addition to being the exclusive international marketing agent for RUI HUA 2, Burgess also becomes the yachting partner for Wanda’s Club Reign, an elite membership club with operations in 10 top cities in China, all located within Wanda’s flagship hotels.
