The 40m (131.2ft) steel-hulled cutter-rigged sloop EXTREME was delivered in 2019 by Turkish shipyard Mengi Yay. Her exterior design is by Ginton Naval Architects and her modern-styled interior is by Guido de Groot Design.

EXTREME’s upper deck has two flybridge helm positions forward and long semi-shaded L-shaped seating further aft. There is a large area for occasional sun loungers or stowage for her tenders aft, launched by a deck crane. Steps to starboard lead down to the main deck. High bulwarks give the main deck walkaround access. The foredeck offers a private forward lounge area with U-shaped seating and two large sunpads further aft.

Aft of the superstructure is a shaded sit-up bar and coffee table seating that leads to an informal al fresco dining area, three bench seats provide seating around the dining table. Further aft is the large sunpad and aft deck area. The transom folds down and the aft deck incorporates a scissor-lift. There are steps from deck level to the transom which also gives access to the lazarette and engine room. There is a toy garage to starboard and fold-down shell doors on either side.

She can accommodate 12 guests in five double suites and one twin suite and has a further four crew cabins for seven crew. All guest accommodation is on the lower deck. There are two VIP suites aft that mirror each other, both cabins offer a larger double berth, sofa seating and en suite bathroom, featuring his and hers sinks and large walk-in shower room. Amidships there is a double cabin to starboard and a twin cabin to port. Forward there are two more double cabins. All guest cabins are en suite with walk-in shower rooms. Forward of the guest accommodation, accessed via the main deck, are the crew quarters, mess, and galley area.

On the main deck, the large open saloon area has sofa seating on both sides and the formal dining area offset to starboard. Opposite the dining area is an enclosed private gym space. Forward is the dayhead and wheelhouse with L-shaped seating to port.

EXTREME has stowage for PWC in the lazarette and has a 5m (16.4ft) RIB with a 100hp engine. The RIB can be stowed on the sun deck.

When not under sail, she is powered by two Caterpillar C18 660 hp engines. These give her a maximum speed of 14 knots. She has a cruising speed of 10 knots and a range of around 2,500nm.
